Type 1 water must be free of particulate matter larger than 0.2µm. *Resistivity of Type 1 must be measured in-line.
Type I: Test methods requiring minimal interference and maximum precision and accuracy, ie. atomic absorption and flame emission spectometry, enzymatic procedures sensitive to trace metals, electro-phoretic procedures, high sensitivity chromatographic procedures, butter solutions, preparation of standard solutions.
Type II: General laboratory testing other than above and glass washing.
Type III: Glassware washing, preliminary rinsing of glassware and feed water for producing higher grade water.
